Some Context
Philip Townsend moved from the Greater Toronto Area in October 2018 to Rossport. Over the years, he had driven the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) along the North Shore of Lake Superior but had never had an opportunity to get onto "The Big Lake". In 2019, he purchased his first power boat and named it "The North Shore". The boat has a powerful in-board V8 engine, comfortable seating, a wide, deep-V hull that is well suited to Lake Superior. The boat is equipped with all the required safety equipment and has a modern satellite navigation system. Since 2019, Philip has developed an intimate knowledge of the lake and has enjoyed exploring and soaking up the incredible experiences that Lake Superior has to offer.
Not everyone has a boat and many cannot afford to charter a boat for a cruise that will provide the opportunity to get up close to this magnificent lake. People "sail" along the TCH not knowing what the lake has to offer and miss out on experiencing the beauty and majesty of this very special lake. Philip has taken numerous people out onto the lake, sometimes on an impromptu basis when he happened to be taking the boat out and people were visiting the Rossport Marina.
While on the lake, he offers a guided commentary about the islands, the lake and the history of the area.
As a away of giving people an opportunity to experience the lake as can only be done from a boat, Philip will take individuals on a free boat cruise.
The following provides details about this offering and the limitations that apply:

Each person will be required to agree to these terms during the reservation process and will be required to sign a waiver before boarding the boat.
The boat cruises leave from the Rossport Marina at the appointed time and normally will last approximately 4 hours. The evening cruises are timed to see the incredible sunset that takes place near the Rossport Islands.
